New Year: Celebrations and traditions

Welcoming a New year means to welcome a new month, an innovative day. It is that time when one clears away ones past and makes time to set fresh, new intentions and targets. This is the perfect time when people transform mind, body and spirit. Every body in this world celebrates New Year in their style. It is celebrated with enthusiasm across the world. In Mexico on midnight of the New Year, twelve grapes are eaten with twelve bell tolls. In Scotland, one desires to forget ones past and look forward for ones future.

With such mixture of celebrations and traditions, it would take a lifetime for one to experience all of them. In Buddhist countries such as in Thailand, this is celebrated in month of April for 3 days and their main ritual is to throw water on others which means purity of one’s soul. In other countries like Vietnam, Korea and China, it is celebrated in the month of January or February. At this time of year people of these countries wear new clothes and prepare food for the entire family to celebrate the New Year . In Tibet, its date depends on the calendar. During this time  activities  as dancing and playing using fireworks and a tradition of giving food to monks so that one gets some type of wishes, are import events for these New Year months.

Some people love to travel as a hobby to know about the world. Some have a hobby of collecting such as stamps, articles, photos or anything else while some love to travel other countries. One can travel as a hobby to see these celebrations. It is best for those who want to enjoy holidays as well as celebration of the New Year. For these celebrations, restaurants, hotels, night clubs etc. make special arrangements for tourists so one can avail these facilities. Now a day travelling is ones hobby rather than a necessity. While one can celebrate New Year  at ones home with family, more and more people are enjoying it abroad so that one can be familiar with other cultures and celebrations.

One of the famous celebrations in the  East is The Chinese New Year celebrations. It is celebrated during the months of January or February. Just as in the west children receives gift from Santa at Christmas, here they receive money in red decorate envelopes from their parents.  Among the Chinese holidays, this  is the most celebrated festival. During this fest one can see colorful and lavish display of decorations which symbolize wealth and good luck for business and prosperity for ones home. One can see dragon dance, the famous dance of china at this time. The main difference between Chinese New Year and others is that it is celebrated after the western New Year.  This tradition is to forget all ill wills, reconcile and truthfully wish happiness and peace for everyone.

England

England because the word for Easter originates from an Anglo Saxon word –  Eostremonath meaning April and also the name of the Goddess Eostre . There are many Historical places and buildings  Churches and cathedrals to see, around this  Anglo Saxon area such as East Anglia, Suffolk and Dover . Local Easter activities range from Anglo Saxon unusual hand craft markets ,Easter bunny hunting and the original meanings and festivals behind Easter.

Costa Rica

Costa Rica  is a Catholic country  If one wants to mix purpose of religion  with fun, one should plan to visit here. This is the place where Pacific and Atlantic Ocean meets. With empty beaches and rainforests, this is the perfect place for ones vacation. As related to Easter, people gather in churches for communication and prayers.

Egypt

Egypt- For Easter celebration, Egypt is also a wonderful place to visit. It is due to the fact that one can see huge processions or carnivals. Here one offers modest prayers in assemblies in churches. People can also enjoy massage therapy with mud from the Red Sea which is famous all over the world. Egypt is a time of remembering  what Christianity is about.
